Hello Chapel

Hello: my name is Nelson Dias, and I am a Professor at the Environmental Engineering
Department of the Federal University of Parana, Brazil. I have programmed in Fortran, Pascal, Modula-2, and C. Currently, I mostly use Python. I have not done parallel programming,
but I am interested in it for computational fluid dynamics, and Chapel seems a nice way to try to learn how to do it. Moreover, the fact that it is compiled and fast makes me believe it could be a good alternative to Python for numerically intensive jobs, even if sequential. My other academic interests include turbulence, hydrology and air quality. Non-academic interests include History, and a bit of anything readable.
