We are considering introducing cmake version >= 3.13.4 (Feb 2019) as a build requirement for building the chapel compiler from source and are seeking community feedback on what potential issues and impact this may cause.
While this is not a very new version of cmake, we understand that many users build
chpl from source on HPC machines which sometimes presents challenges with dependencies.
We are interested in any responses -- whether positive or negative -- so that we can make an informed decision. Thank you!
