The channel overview in the documentation should be improved to include the following:

  • a section on the locking behavior, including a list of relevant methods.
  • a section on channel buffering, including a list of relevant methods.
  • a section on "lightweight transactions" (probably need a better name), including a list of relevant methods.
  • a section on channel regions, including a list of relevant methods.
