Hello Chapel Community —
Today, our team at HPE is proud to announce that the Chapel project is now a member of the High Performance Software Foundation (HPSF), itself a part of the Linux Foundation. This takes a big step in a direction planned since Chapel's inception, moving it from effectively being governed by Cray/HPE toward a community-governed model that we are actively working to implement. HPSF shares Chapel's goals of improving HPC productivity and adoption through open-source software, and therefore felt like an obvious choice as an umbrella organization as we take this step.
