Since at least [2.8 (patched to make RHEL RPM)](https://github.com/chapel-lang/c…hapel/tree/release/2.8-rhel-rpm-patch), and still in 2.9, the Lmod module installed by the EX RPM suffers from the following 2 issues. --------------- 1. Fatal error detecting CPU arch on RHEL specifically ``` $ module load mpi/crayclang/10.0/ofi/1.0/cray-mpich/8.0/chapel/2.8.0 Lmod has detected the following error: Cannot determine vaild host CPU. CPU found was While processing the following module(s): Module fullname Module Filename --------------- --------------- mpi/crayclang/10.0/ofi/1.0/cray-mpich/8.0/chapel/2.8.0 /**********/rpm-install/pe/lmod/modulefiles/mpi/crayclang/10.0/ofi/1.0/cray-mpich/8.0/chapel/2.8.0.lua ``` This seems to be due to the `CHPL_HOST_ARCH` issue that https://github.com/chapel-lang/chapel/pull/28369 resolved for just the Tcl module. [Relevant part of lua modulefile](https://github.com/chapel-lang/chapel/blob/892cc203545be1579aaf81dca78eb45a9f903a14/util/build_configs/cray-internal/chapel.modulefile.lua.template#L43-L49). This issue is so if someone hits it before we get it fixed, they can easily find it's a known problem. For prioritization purposes, please comment on this issue to let us know if you are affected.
