Our recent homebrew formulae have received a "No M1 bottle" tag. Not surprisingly, we're getting asked about M1 Macs at an increasing frequency. This issue asks what it would take for us to enable the M1 bottle for our formula. I.e., is it simply a matter of opting into building one, and we're not? Or does the build system attempt the build, fail in some way, and then apply this label as a result?
